Please don't move us because if we if
you move us, everyone else will want to
do the same to us. If they were to take
us to another hotel or to another area,
it's going to be the same. They're going
to be another people, you know,
protesting,
you know, to to get us out of the hotel
or to close the hotel because they have
uh the same uh thing. They are concerned
about us because they see us as
criminals, as as pedophiles and we are
not. We're not. No, the thing was you
you are innocent until proven guilty.
You know, when you do a crime, then you
become a criminal and you know, but you
don't become a criminal before doing
anything.
>> How was it being in the hotel when you
saw the the violence outside?
>> Scary. Scary. Like that's the only word
to describe it. Scary. And in in
nowadays it's a bit calm, but in the
beginning it was so violent, you know. A
lot of guys took some beating, you know,
in the beginning. It's scary. No, it's
just uh it's an emotional thing now
rather than a physical thing. It's just
painful. Emotionally painful now. We
don't even have words to to to to
express what we feel actually. It's just
painful. That's all I
That's all I think about.
>> Absolutely. Absolutely. I can understand
their anger, you know, and some of them
even tell us we don't have anything
personal against you. It's just our
government ripping us off and stuff like
that. I think we live in expensive
hotels which cost a lot. All I need is
just a bed. All I need is three meals
and I think one person the government
could spend on me about less than 500
and but they instead they're choosing to
spend more than 2,000 on me. I think
that's unreasonable. You know,
>> you've got a message to the residents of
Eping and the local area.
>> Yeah. I would say please give us a
second chance. uh please uh treat us the
same way you treated us before the
incident because we we are the same
people before the incident. Uh you
didn't view us as as uh you know
criminals or anything. You you were okay
with us before the incident took place.
We are the same people. One person
doesn't change us. What one person does
does not you know um you know represent
us or what we are. I'm not here to to
harm anybody. I'm here to actually look
for safety, you know, to look for a
better life. Were we going to be
homeless? I was asking that question to
the to the the the office in the hotel
and they weren't offering us any
information about what's going to happen
to next, what is going to happen to us
next. So, there's a lot of uh unsettled
people in there because they their life
is, you know, uncertain. What is going
to happen to them? Are they going to be
homeless? You know, a lot of things.
